Our class have been learning about the history of Epsom PS. We have found out that some schools in the olden days had smaller buildings than our schools now and were sometimes made of bricks like our old building. They didn’t have as many kids at schools in those days. We didn’t think our old school had a chimney but when we looked we found one covered up by the roof. In the library we found a small cupboard up high that has old stuff in it and a key. We will open it next week. We found the old Honour Board from the Great War hanging in the multi-purpose room. It was interesting looking at the old school building and we found a very old door.
We drew pictures of what we thought our school would look like in the old days. What do you think school was like back then?

Today we had our dress up parade for Book Week. We have been celebrating our enjoyment of reading, and our love of books. We had fun dressing up as our favourite characters and talking about our favourite books.
What is your favourite book? Which character did you dress up as for Book Week?

We are starting Gym today. We are going on a bus to Mr Palmers Gym in Bendigo. We are looking forward to doing forward flips and back flips. We like bouncing on the trampolines. We especially like jumping in the foam pit! We are so excited, we can’t wait!
